Kelly is one of the first people to test out prototypes and evaluate new product samples, ensuring the utmost quality with her keen eye for detail. The first iteration of Curve SE has lived on her desk since we began considering the idea last year, making her the perfect person to feature it as part of her workspace.
What is the key to a comfortable desk setup for you?
My desk space is typically very tidy but also accessorized. I develop all product here at Twelve South, so I always have a ton of samples and multiple projects going on at the same time but I like to keep where I sit uncluttered and similar to my home decor style. As a big fan of interior design, I love mixing metals and modern feminine flare with my everyday needs. Many of Twelve South's products have a home decor essence to them and so it is very easy to accessorize them with other brands. My workspace/desk makes me feel like I am not in an office and gives me the sense of my own comfortable personal space.
What's your "everyday essential"?
I cannot leave home without a Yeti cup. I use them for coffee and water all day. They work great for either use and I don’t ever have to worry about getting up and down a bunch of times to reheat my coffee when in meetings.
What's the first thing you do when you get to your desk?
I usually charge my phone at work so the first thing I do is put my iPhone onto my PowerPic. It makes it easy to view the screen when working, while keeping my phone charged. I love having my PowerPic at my desk, personalized with my little girl’s picture so when I'm not charging my phone I can see a little piece of my family.
Why do you prefer the dual screen setup?
It is nice to be able to do multiple things at the same time with this set up. Using two screens makes it easier to organize and view daily emails on one side, while also viewing product images and approval videos I receive from our factories on the other.
How does Curve SE help you work?
Using Curve SE allows me to have a dual screen set up with my MacBook instead of using two larger monitors or even an iMac. I like the chic matte white color because it matches nicely with my PowerPic, and really brightens up my desk. I think it complements all MacBook colors and allows for a more modern/home decor vibe.
What's next on the product release horizon?
